The Fight for Wedding Venue Funding: Why Our Clients Never Quit

Wedding venue funding is no walk in the park—it’s a dog fight. And I mean that literally.

We live on a small farm. A “farmette,” if you will. We raise all of our own meat, and in our neck of the woods, coyotes are a real problem. As in: forty chickens gone in the blink of an eye while you’re taking a 30-minute siesta.

Meet Bear—the Alpha of Our Pack

Bear is one of our three Great Pyrenees, and let me tell you, he’s the reason we haven’t lost a single bird since. He’s out there 24/7, handling things coyotes used to get away with.

But here’s the thing about Bear—dog fights are brutal.

They’re dirty.
They’re scrappy.
And sometimes, it feels like they’ll never end.

But Bear? There’s no quit in him.
His grit, tenacity, and willpower are unmatched.

And lately, watching Bear reminded me of someone else: our clients.

What Bear Taught Me About Our Clients

Now, I know it might sound odd comparing venue owners to livestock guardians—but I swear on all that is holy: it’s the highest praise a farmer can give.

Time and time again, I brace myself to give an Oscar-worthy pep talk to a client… only to find they’re the ones reminding me of the bright side.

Just when I think they’re ready to tap out, they bounce off the ropes with a left hook I never saw coming.

That’s what it’s like working with clients who are seeking wedding venue funding.

The Stats Say They Shouldn’t Make It—But They Do

Harvard Business Review and Forbes both report that 90% of startups fail within the first five years.

And yet… we primarily work with startups. So how is it that not one single client of ours has failed within five years?

My theory?

There’s no quit in them.

Especially not when it comes to wedding venue funding.

Taking Punches in the Funding Phase

The funding phase is where I see it the most. It’s like one long fight:

  • Applications
  • Appraisals
  • Delays
  • Zoning boards
  • Water mains
  • Mountains of paperwork
  • Red tape
  • County meetings
  • Unethical politics
  • Even more delays

Some of our clients keep swinging for two years or more. Anyone would understand if they threw in the towel.

But they never do.

Every Win Is a Big Win

That’s why texts like these? They mean the world to our team.

In the funding process, there are no small wins. Every single one matters. And our clients? They’ve done big things.

🏆 Some Numbers We’re Proud Of:

  • 508 downloads of our Pro Forma for funding
  • 128 purchases of our Business Plan Template
  • 19 clients we’ve helped through the funding process
  • $28M+ in wedding venue funding secured

We don’t get into this game to lose. We win.
It may sound cocky, but it’s true—because there’s no quit in us, either.
